I remember Charlie Walker and I also listen to him on the radio here in San Antonio over radio station KMAC. I liked this song but I didn’t know that he wrote it and owned it. I never did get to know Charlie Walker but my brother did. He also worked at the same radio station.

I first heard “Oh Johnny Oh” in 1942 when I was four years old. We had the record and played it on an old wind up Victrola. I always loved Bonnie’s cute voice. Today I am 73 and I just love to hear these wonderful songs of the past.
