Because guys are bigger, stronger and faster than ever before. Considering the likelihood of injury on this type of hit, I just don't see why we need it. There's still plenty of great hitting in hockey. And not to vilify Paille either, but if your stick gets accidentally caught in so...

Of course every NHL player knows that but the puck was bouncing around, and as the announcer points out the responsibility is with the hitter. Some people may not like that but it's the rule so that's the way it is.

Thanks for these videos. I was wondering what it looks like on the toughest settings. It seems quite easy to send the wheels spinning with a bit too much gas. Your Lotus seemed to handle that shunt at the end quite well; is it possible to DNF by wrecking your car, engine, etc?
