I really respect this guy - a tremendous fighter who pretty much took on all the best heavyweights of his era. He cam to the UK and took on one of our best heavies (Jack Bodell) and pretty nearly decapitated the guy. He'll never be forgotten - ever.

Legendary Nights: Tyson Lewis Part 1 [Abbas Khan]
This the HBO boxing series Legendary nights 2003 about boxers.
Tyson was so different when he came on the scene looing so chiselled and squat compared to some of the portly, tall heavies around at the time. His punch rate, power and speed were also amazing in contrast to his peers. Despite his incredible competitive advantages though when some well trained h...

I respect Pinky alot for putting up some decent resistance in this fight. He had a top class set of whiskers but was never the same again after this fight. I reckon Tyson hit him with some of the hardest shots he ever through. Shame for Thomas really because he could have been great had he stayed...

I feel that Tyson was perhaps the most physically gifted heavyweight ever but I wouldn't say he was the best heavyweight champ ever. Mike Tyson Vs Pinklon Thomas Part 4
young tyson in his prime vintage tyson
I have to give Pinklon loads of respect for this performance - he was a good fighter and had an awesome chin but of course no one would be able to stand up to a consecutive set of heavy headshots like he took. Many other fighters would have gone down from any individual punch in that salvo I feel...

2012 reviewed by Mark Kermode
Mark says 2012 is 'just plain bad'. But how big a disaster is the latest offering from Independence Day Director, Roland Emmerich?
the only real shock to me is that Mark Kermode can review this crap in a kind of academically rigorous way. He is very funny but you can't help but think that sometimes you may be in the mood for a crap movie after a couple of beers on a Friday night. You don't necessarily want 'an important' fil...

That is a remarkable scene no doubt and Gervais definitely has an ability to extract depth out of his team but what's bothering me now is his formulaic approach to these stories.

Mike Tyson V's Danny Williams
Iron Mike takes on Danny Williams with British commentary.
Its understood that Tyson was past his best at this point but he was still Mike Tyson and could obviously bang a bit. I think Danny did pretty well given his own career trajectory and imagine the stories he's got to tell his grandchildren someday - 'I knocked out Mike Tyson'...

Rocky Marciano talks about Muhammad Ali
Rocky Marciano praise Muhammad Ali, but says that he in his prime would killed him.
I agree - Marciano had total dynamite in his fists despite weighing less than 200lbs. He was a really hard hitter, Ali himself said he was not sure whether he could beat him. Personally I think Ali might get him on points or late stoppage but you can't discount Marciano's determination and phenom...

When you consider all the issues Ali had for that fight eg/ wrongly prescribed Thyrolar for a thyroid complaint that he didn't have + his age and wear and tear from all the previous defences since the Thrilla in Manila I'm just amazed that the fight didn't end earlier and more brutally with him o...

Holmes was a genuine professional and if anything was holding back a little to avoid really murdering Ali.
I shudder to think what a rampaging Mike Tyson (a la 1988) would have done to an Ali that was not returning fire.

Ali was at least the equal of any of those so I fail to see how Tyson KO's him - especially as Mitch Green, James Tillis, Bonecrusher Smith and Razor Ruddock all heard the final bell !

YES TYSON WILL KO ALI EASILY!!

The real reason people believe Tyson would KO Ali is purely on the basis of punching power alone. Clearly if Ali hung his chin out to be clocked then he would probably get KO'd but any quality fighter knows who he's going in against at the outset. If you look at the 3 fighters who dealt with Tys...

Muhammad Ali - One Punch Too Many - part 3
1998 documentary on the latter stages of ali's career.
@DrJReefer I'm almost positive that is why Spinks was chosen. On the Holmes issue though I am surprised Ali even got to the 10th round what with all the metobolic changes, medication and general wear he had taken by this point. If was Tyson dishing out the pain Ali sadly would have been ko'd fo...
