Any thoughts on comparing the Dark Crystal quality to the Hauppauge Colossus? I read on Missing Remote's website that the Hauppauge Colossus has better quality videos, but that's just one opinion.

Thanks so much for posting this video. I failed on my first attempt with a different (and more expensive) product. Went to my local O'Reilly Auto Parts store and got the product listed in your video. Worked like a charm!

The HDMI out is not a pass-through. So you cannot connect a gaming system to the box via components, hook the HDMI out to a TV and play. HDMI out is only for playing videos that were already recorded.

Thanks for the info. I was actually comparing the Avermedia card to the Hauppauge Colossus, which is also an internal card and which does have HDMI input. I've also thought about the Blackmagic Intensity and the Avermedia HD USB DVR. I only intend to use it for TV show capture to burn to BD-R and...

Harry (the older brother in the video) seems like a very kind and generous soul for not popping his brother on the noggin during the prolonged bite. He even smiled about it and explained how much it hurt after it was all over. We can all learn something from his forgiving heart. Love the video!
