The Community Blood Bank has been providing a safe and reliable blood supply to patients in need since 1966. Partnering with all the hospitals in Erie, Warren, Potter, Mc Kean, and Elk Counties in Pennsylvania the Community Blood Bank is the exclusive provider. In Western New York the Community Blood Bank is the preferred provider of blood products to all the hospitals in Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties. The Community Blood Bank will now provide about 40,000 units of blood per year saving millions of dollars and thousands of lives in our region.

You can branch out to be an extra special donor. Community Blood Bank is asking you to consider becoming an dapheresis donor to help patients in area hospitals. Patients being treated for cancer, leukemia, aplastic anemia and some heart surgery patients need your help. Using apheresis products limts the patient's exposure to multiple donors. This reduces the risk of antibody problems and transfusion reactions.
