1) Einst war ein Tag -- ich war nicht ganz hier; weil Er mich mag -- so erzählte man mir -- vom Wahrheitsweg -- dass Jesus lebt - !; vom Glaubenssteg -- den Er mit mir bestrebt!

2) Ich war nicht mehr heil, -- auf der Flucht; und auf „der" -- weil -- in der Sucht. War die Bibel geschrieben - der Glaube tut Not; von Neugierde getrieben - ich war tot! 3) Gar nicht schlecht -- nur: Gott zum Spott -- „ich bin ja gerecht" -- das war mein Trott: Ein Joint heraus -- hinein in den Kopf; Tag ein Tag aus -- derselbe Topf. 4) Und das Essen -- war ein Abschaum; - ich wollte mich messen -- es bekam mir kaum. Wer soll mich retten? -- Es ist zu herb! Ich liege in Ketten -- wenn (an Kokain) ich bald sterb. 5) Der Sucht (folgt) die Qual -- ich habe kein Glück, - (so) fand ich allzumal -- in meiner Schuld Unglück: Durch Trotz und Eitel -- ich war blind und fand daran Spass -- so kam der Ekel -- und mit ihm wuchs mein Hass. 6) Ich bekam Angst -- findest kein zurück! Warum bangest -- kannst nicht zurück? -- Ein bittres Greul -- bracht mir kein Freud - nur mein Geheul -- und keine Leut. 7) Ich habe verloren -- mein ganzes Gewicht! Mich wird man bald schmoren -- vor Gottes Gericht. - - - Ich bin verloren ! - -- „Herr, beselige mein Tun!" -- Habe J e s u s erkoren -- drum bete ich nun - . 8) in meiner Not -- erhöret mich Jesus; anstatt auf`s Schafott -- da f ü h r e t mich J e s u s. Er hat mich begnadigt -- zum Ewigen Leben u n d wiedergeboren -- in Ewigkeit entschädigt -- und Er ist für meine Schuld gestorben.

Gott spricht: (Ps.50/15, 91/15) „Rufe mich an in der Not -- so will ich dich erretten -- so sollst du mich preisen."
