125 years ago, during the hot Australian summer of 1888, William & Ralph Foster gave the thirsty people of Australia their first taste of true refreshment.
William & Ralph had one thing in mind, to specially craft a lager to refresh. It instantly caused a sensation when they delivered their lager, packed on ice to the local hotels from their brewery in Rokeby Street, Melbourne.
The media hailed it as "the beer of the future" and in 1889, Foster's was awarded "The Highest Award against the World" at the Melbourne Centennial Exhibition.
Thanks William and Ralph, Foster's is still a little ripper!
Foster's is home to some of the best comedy on the internet. Including the likes of Alan Partridge's Mid Morning Matters, Brad and Dan's Good Call, Vic & Bob's Afternoon Delights and the long anticipated return of new episodes of The Fast Show.
