Philosophy and Freethought videos on Ethics, Happiness, Religion, and Logic.
This is a themed channel, not my personal channel, and the theme is philosophy and freethought. This means that all the videos are on philosophy or freethought, my favorites list isn't filled with k-pop videos, and my subscriptions here don't include my favorite singers and bands.
The heart-shaped symbol in my avatar is an African symbol called Sankofa. It refers to the wisdom of learning from the past. I chose it mainly because it combines a symbol for wisdom with a heart shape, which here signifies love of wisdom.
(Note: Due to YouTube replacing Friends with Contacts, which appears to be useless and meaningless, I will be ignoring Contact requests.)

About Me:
I don't believe in any revealed religion. I am open to mysticism, provided that the object of mystical experience is regarded as a mystery. I find value in Buddhism, Taoism, and even liberal Christianity, but I am principally a Secular Humanist.
I believe that human life (or other life sufficiently like it) is what principally has value. I believe that ethics is about living well, not about obeying an authority. If there is a God, I believe he favors the free use of our minds over blind faith.

"I'm not a Christian, but I'll answer, no, this question is not enough to debunk Christianity. I take evolution to be true, and I consider the Adam ..."

You were previously talking about punishment after death, and now you're talking about God helping me in life. Are these ideas connected somehow, or did you go off on a tangent? As for God helping me, I know I can help people without them knowing about it. I'm sure that if God exists, he can do the same. And if God really does exist, he's welcome to go ahead and help me in any way that is truly helpful. But in the event that there is no God, I consider it prudent to take some personal responsibility over dealing with the problems in my life.
You can disagree with me all you want, but God is the only one who can help you through the problems you encounter in your life.
