約40年前在收音機上聽過韓國人（原？）唱的版本之後，再也不想聽任何華人、日人翻唱這首歌，包括劉家昌的韓語翻唱。因為：只有­聽過韓國人唱的版本的人才知道甚麼歌者才是「man」、甚麼伴奏樂團才是高級。可惜，那一版再也沒出現在華人社區。很不想說這是­劣幣逐良幣的結果，但是，是事實。

Video dot google dot com used to permit people to upload videos more than one hour each. IMHO, it's a much better place than youtube for big series of videos if that site still provides that service. This piece of music has many versions. Frank Pourcel's play is my favorite one for which I have been searching for 20 years since I listened to it on my radio. Thank you for sharing!

35 years ago I listened in my A.M. radio this piece of music played by a large scale Japanese orchestra, which is unknown to me, and never forget it since then. I did not know the name of this music until I listened to this: "ALFRED HAUSE Tegami　アルフレッド・ハウゼ～手紙".

The orchestra is excellent. I prefer Japanese orchestra playing old music than singing (演歌).
