Paul said in PHILIPPIANS 2:5-8 KJV
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Jesus in the form of God humbled Himself to the purpose of leaving heaven, and becoming a servant to man in the flesh. This is the mind that we must take on as Christians. We must follow His example. Humility is the beginning of wisdom.
We must humble ourselves before our Lord, and surrender all of our life to Him who sacrificed all for us that we may be the receivers of His immeasurable grace, and love.
We must cast off all self reliance, and self will, and release our will to Him whose wisdom is above ours, and whose love is eternal through Jesus our Lord, and our friend for it says in: JOHN 15:13-15 KJV (The words of Jesus)
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
Did you get that? Jesus calls us His friends if we follow His commands. He is not a just a God that rules over us, but a friend who cares, and loves us, and wants to bless us in every area of our lives.
Paul also says in PHILIPPIANS 3:8 KJV, Yea doubtless, and I count all things [but] loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them [but] dung, that I may win Christ,
The Living Bible (A Paraphrase) says: Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have put aside all else, counting it worth less than nothing, in order that I can have Christ.

Paul considered all that he had in the world worthless compared to the privilege of knowing Jesus as I and all should.

If Jesus as God would humble Himself and become a servant to us even unto the cross, how can we not humble ourselves before Him in thanksgiving, and gratitude for His love toward us, and serve Him faithfully?
We have this power as His children through His name, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter whom He sent to us. JOHN 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Now it says in:
PHILIPPIANS 3: 9 KJV: 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
It is now by faith in Jesus that makes us righteous, not what we do whether good, or bad for we are justified by faith only not by our works. We cannot work our way to heaven. No matter how much good we do in this world it cannot pay for our sins. God only made one way to redemption, and that is through Christ Jesus our Lord.
JOHN 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Would you like to know this loving savior Jesus who loves you so much that He gave His life for you to pay the penalty of sin in your place today, right now?
JOHN 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. And in:
ROMANS 10:9&10, 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Dear Heavenly Father I thank you for sending your only Son Jesus to die, and pay the penalty of sin in my place. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and I believe in my heart that you raised Him from the dead.
Jesus thank you for spilling your blood for me, and I ask you now to wash me in your blood Lord, and cleanse me from all unrighteousness, and come into my heart now, and make me a new creature, and I purpose in the Holy Spirit to follow you all the days of my life. In your mighty name, the name above all names, the name of Jesus, amen.
