Renders pretty well. Pakkad on soor is also perfect. I think he is the same guy who appeared on coke studio. He writes his own lyrics and composes them. This is what is required in current scenario of classical (to make it popular) - may be - fusion is the way!!!

Hi, brilliant but my memory says that lyrics (of these four lines) is not by Amir Khusro but Nizami Ganjvi Sahab निज़ामी गंजवी passed away in 1209, was born in 1141. The main song Kangana was penned by Mirza Qatil and 'Bedam' Shah Warsi.

Raag Jansamohini (very close to Kalavati, difference is just in usage of Swar 'Re'.) Wonderful composition indeed. Mehdi Hassan has also rendered 'Charag-E-Tur Jalao Bada Andhera Hai' in same Raag, what a composition, equally good as this one.

Please do not call it completely Sufi or Classical based song, for the reason that there is usage of 'Khada Swar' quite often in the song.
