Gamo Whisper 100 Yards Soda Can
Gamo Whisper with CenterPoint 3-9x used for shooting a soda can at 100 yards using Baracuda Match, extra heavy pellets.
Yes, no question about it; the pellets at 100 yards almost made it through BOTH sides of a one gallon metal container.

No kidding it was edited. That doesn't make it any less real - and the shots aren't 'lobbed'. If you spent any time reading you'd see that the range was compensated for using a mil-dot crosshair in 9 power glass and that the pellets penetrated a metal container at 100 yards. No one here is cla...

Absolutely. I just tried it to see if it could be done, and its not easy or consistently repeatable.

Correct and safe use of these stoves will not cause the safety valve to blow, or the stove to explode. Your stove was obviously over-heated & overpressurized and I have heard some similar stories in the past, but there are warning signs before this occurs and no stove should be left unattended f...

Never needed a pump on the SVEA, but do on the 8r. I guess for higher altitudes and/or cold weather it would be quite a benefit, though.

Well said. The SVEA has remained basically unchanged since 1955. Yes, maybe it's a little heavy and it might take an extra minute or two to cook with, but it's the most reliable stove ever made.

@cuthulu68 You are misunderstanding my comments. White gas is in fact 'gasoline', only without fuel additives (or 10% ethanol as most all auto fuel is in the U.S. now). Unleaded auto fuel, especially at higher altitudes, is not recommended as it not as pure as white gas and may cause clogging....

@bakupcpu - 8r's are designed for "Coleman" fuel, a.k.a. "white gas". The burner assembly is similar to that of the SVEA123. They will also function with unleaded fuel but white gas is the only fuel I would use as it is more refined and without additives. The Optimus 111 (not the 111"B") will ...
