When I say I am a Christian:
I'm not shouting I'm clean living. I'm whispering I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.
I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need JESUS to be my guide.
I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need HIS strength to carry on.
I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean up my mess.
I'm not claiming to be perfect, my flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.
I still feel the sting of pain, I have my share of heart-aches but I can run to HIM.
I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace and mercy... somehow
END TIMES OPTIMISTS
On the recent International Prophesy Conference in the US it was mentioned that End Times Prophesy students and readers are not doomsday prophets, they look BEYOND the New World Order, the Great Tribulation, the Mark of the Beast and the Antichrist. They are real optimists, because they know and believe that:
The Lord will come to fetch His bride, the true church
For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first. (1Th 4:16)
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall ever be with the Lord. (1Th 4:17)
The Great Tribulation is not to punish Christians but to convert unbelievers to Jesus Christ
for then shall be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world to this time; no, nor ever shall be. (Mat 24:21)
And unless those days should be shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the elect's sake, those days shall be shortened. (Mat 24:22)
Jesus will set up His kingdom on earth
Matthew 24:29-31 (KJV Bible Commentary) Signs of the coming Son of Man {Christ} The reference to the events immediately after the tribulation, such as the sun being darkened and the stars falling, etc., refer to the cataclysmic events that will accompany Christs return at the end of the Tribulation Period to establish His millennial kingdom on earth
At the Judgment Seat true believers will be rewarded for their works
. For all shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ. (Rom 14:10)
And I saw the dead, the small and the great, stand before God. And books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (Rev 20:12)
