Influences: I listen to a lot of roots and New Nashville stuff like Gillian Welch, Bright Eyes, Iron and Wine, etc. I love Elliott Smih. I'm a huge fan of The Band and Bob Dylan. I'm a Dead head (saw eight shows before Jerry died).
Sounds Like: I also like good hip hop like The Roots, WuTang, Mos Def, Digable Planets, Tribe Called Quest, etc. Then there's the folk stuff. I'm a folklorist, but I was raised in the Appalachian Moutains of North Georgia. My people come from Ireland, Scotland, and Sweden and some were already here - the Kickapoo of the Algonquian speaking Tribes; they were originally located where what is now Michigan.
