Each year, Dowling Company invites a selection of environmental experts from around the world to speak about contemporary environmental, or green concepts, such as greening the economy, green building and technology, green energy solutions, sustainable development, environmental conservation, and environmentally-conscious living.

Previous lecture series' have featured talks by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., David Suzuki, Ray Anderson, Dr. Sylvia Earle, Dr. Hunter Lovins, and Bill Nye.

All of the proceeds from the Series benefit a local environmental nonprofit organization. Proceeds from previous Focus Green Lecture Series' have gone to the Maui Coastal Land Trust and the Hawai'i Nature Center.
