How tiny is David Miscavige? I just saw a pic in which it is clear that Tom Cruise is at least two inches shorter than Halle Berry, and she's only 5' 6", which makes Cruise about 5' 4" (same height as Robert Blake).
At 0:09, you can see Miscavige is two or three inches shorter than Cruise, whic...

But the US had been trying to p...

By 1823, Byron was in Greece, where he became a 'hero' of the Greek War for independence, where he died of a fever on 19 April 1824.
he was, as I said, half English and half Scottish by blood (whatever that means), but he seems rather to have loved Scotland from a distance.

I'm an Englishman living abroad, who has had the great good fortune throughout my life to see a lot of this world at first hand. Reserved but not conservative, tolerant but not radical, I respectfully refuse to be pigeon-holed by anybody. I do harbour an enthusiasm for good grammar, but am understanding of the use of abbreviations by others - if they were good enough for the Victorians, then likely abbreviations should not be opposed on the grounds of 'tradition'.I am driven to contempt by mindless partisanship and I despise personal abuse. I particularly loathe intellectual dishonesty, prejudice and hatred of any group based on stereotype.
If I had to choose one quote, it would be Oscar Wilde; "Life is far too important to be taken seriously".
A close second would be the exchange between Bessie Braddock, the redoubtable Labour MP from Liverpool and Winston Churchill, for no other reason than its wit:
"Winston - you are drunk!"
"Madam, you are ugly" replied Churchill. "And in the morning, I shall be sober."
@isleptwithgod Indeed ... and the reason is that Sean Lock really is OUT THERE!
Bloody brilliant .... :)
