One of the most sought after flutists from India & is extensively touring for concerts with the legendary sitar maestro Pt Ravishankar & Anoushka Shankar around the globe.
Ravi was initiated into the hallowed realms of Carnatic classical music(South Indian music) at the tender age of six by his father Professor K Raghavendra Rao & initially took up the South Indian percussion instruments, the Mridangam and the Kanjira .
Ravi has performed in USA, Canada, UK, UAE, Sweden, Austria, Luxembourg, Finland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, Switzerland for his Solos, Duets & Fusion Jazz concerts. Ravi has played more than 800 concerts and participated in music festivals like WOMAD, Roskilde, San Fransisco Jazz Festival and many more. Ravi also has to his credit abut 400 studio session recordings and performed in major venues like the Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Queen Elizabeth Hall,Royal Festival Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, Chicago Symphony Hall, Roy Thomson Hall, Disney Hall, Passionskirche, Vienna
