@DTM1864 Eddie Van Halen and Stevie Ray are like that, too. Almost a lead rhythm, smooth and skilled. BB King only solos, Keith Richards rarely does, others blur the lines, all are great. Nice point by you!

@Bundloc I've played for 23 years, but taught myself. I can play some odd time stuff, but can't really identify or count the real odd times. I'm not that good, but I listen to a lot. I didn't mean any disrespect, just trying to share. Always loved how this guy played.

@DarkGuitarKid Yeah, Les Paul's are dual purpose, play a badass guitar, get workout at the same time. That's why little guys like Angus play SG's. ; At least Slash isn't getting his weights in one fifth at a time too much now.

The guitarists get their deserved props, for sure, but how about the drummer? No slouch, and at the time, he had to develop some new beats and learn time signatures for this grand epic. I don't love it, but very nice work all around. Major skills.
