Noteshelf is ok (better than Penultimate, but then, so are most note-taking apps), but it is still fairly primitive when compared to Note Taker HD, Notes Plus, neu.Notes+ , Notability, and Upad, all of which have zoom windows and wrist-protection, as well as many other features that are deployed ...

Forget Penultimate, it is little more than a toy.

neu.Notes is far superior (and free).

If you want graphs, grids, lines, other shapes etc, get Note Taker HD.

I use both the above apps for doing/teaching maths. Mainly neu.Notes, actually. Both apps are great through a projector.
