Paul Kent is a singer who has a wealth of experience and talent, whose voice is pure soul. Paul has been singing on the club scene and doing session work for over 15 years. In 2001 Paul was a guest singer at an Edwin Starr concert in Birmingham. Paul was asked by Mr. Edwin Starr to perform a duet with him at the concert; the duet was the finale and received a standing ovation.
Simon Stone is a guitarist and songwriter from London; he is a self taught blues-rock guitarist who plays with passion and emotion. Simon was the one time guitarist in the American blues band, "Dakota".
Simon & Paul got together early 2008 and formed Florida Road; they signed with Buzzerk Records in December 2008. Their music is aimed towards an (R&B/Pop-Rock) genre. Forbidden Love is their debut single, a power ballad with a rollercoaster of vocal emotions and an expressive guitar solo. A energetic dance mix of the Forbidden Love ballad was released and has become a club favourite and dance floor sensation. On the 16TH January 2010 Florida Road released there latest song One More Day a gentle mix of R&B combined with a stunning piece of guitar playing; accompanied by a cool music video. The band is back in the studio working on an EP, due to be released September 2010.
Florida Road is now endorsees of Lag Guitars, Simon plays a stunning Lag guitar in their new music video.
Their Myspace page has generated a lot of interest! From Royalty (HRH Prince Harry) to A List Pop & Rock superstars (Elton John, Steve Winwood, Whitney Houston, and The Rolling Stones) to mention a few, these all have all linked to the friends page.
