I put on the headphones,
And my head fills with the sound
Of a fast paced melody.
It filters through my brain,
Like smoke fills a room, but
It doesn't choke my lungs,
It embraces them to sing along.
The guitar gently strums away
Sending soothing waves through my body.
The sound, the rhythm of the drum,
Pounding through my brain like a gunshot,
Faster and faster,
Pace quickens as the song moves on.
But the one thing, the main event:
The voice of a boy, like a cold drink of water
Going through my body, my soul.
I can't help but send shivers down my spine,
A tingling of happiness.
The feelings, the sound, it never stops:
Drums, guitar, bass, smooth voice,
The last note. The last beat.
Comes from the headphones,
the time is over.
I set them down,
The emotion, running through my veins,
Like a river, that never ends
