Since its beginnings in June 2005, Flo Dance Team is a New York/New Jersey based group that aspires to instill the meaning of teamwork, leadership, synergy and friendship within everyone they encounter. With an original base of only 4 members, they have since grown as a team becoming a collection of talent, learning from one another. Flo is about bringing together different talents and styles of dance into one powerful and moving force. Having performed throughout the tri-state area they hold two auditions annually as well as a number of workshops and open classes. As ambitious dreamers FLO strives for excellence within themselves, commited to never accept ordinary.

Mission statement:
Through practices and performances FLO is able to instill leadership, build confidence and embrace individuality through dance. We distinguish ourselves from the ordinary through our wide-range of abilities and talents. Creativity is key to our performances as we look to not only incorporate "mainstream" trends but also to various styles of dance and music. Flo Dance Team started as a small group of friends who came together to share a common interest in dancing. Dancing is our passion, our stress reliever and our way of expressing ourselves. It is this passion that drives us to reach for bigger and better things. Combining all forms of dance from ballroom to Latin, hip-hop to jazz we strive to establish ourselves outside mainstream groups -- as a group with a unique identity and style of expression.
