About this user
-) Like the Bible, we all are made up of some seeming contradictions. Here you will find sermons I love and music I love. Some may find my taste in music will harmonize with their taste. Some may not. Some may find my taste in music discordant with my taste in sermons. Some may not. Let your taste direct you to those videos I only recommend here. You should chose those you are comfortable with. Please discard the others without malice.
For those who like the music but wish to forgo the sermons, this too is up to you. I recommend what I think will be worth your while here. Enjoy what you will of it. No malice intended here.
-) More On Des Ford: I learned the Gospel in late 1972 through a former student of Desmond's. They were both from Australia. While studying with those in the US who published this former student's written work, I occasionally listened to audio tapes by Des. I later went to college where I bought book's that he had written. He was publishing articles I read as well.
In the fall of 1979 when his life was about to undergo a massive upheaval, I had the privilege of meeting Des and his lovely wife Gill. From that time on I have known him as a friend.
He is the most consistent person I have known in the flesh. He is willing to lay aside preconceived notions when he finds adequate biblical evidence to do so. I feel blessed to know him.
Through the years I have witnessed many who have found Christ through his written and spoken words.
He is blessed, and the world through him has been blessed, even as have I.
What little consistency I have had in my life are due to Des and others like him who have dedicated their lives to finding their all in a loving God and the accomplishments of his dear Son in behalf of all mankind without regard to nationality, race, culture or creed.
Enjoy!
-) The time has come to encourage those who visit my site to understand there may be controversial themes found here or some may be held by those I am honored to include on my channel. I may not agree with everything each of these men hold to in full on every subject but I do think we should study and see if they are correct in the matters they hold. I can and do whole heartily endorse that which is essential. I find the words of the honorable Dr Walter Martin appropriate:
"Controversy for the sake of controversy is sin. Controversy for the sake of the truth, is a divine command." Dr Walter Martin, 1988
I would hope there would be a Berean spirit in those who visit my channel for they (the Berean's) described by Luke as, "were of more noble character than the Thessalonians for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the scripture every day to see if what Paul said was true." Acts 17:11 NIV. The Thessalonians on the other hand, "they went there too, agitating the crowds and stirring them up." after learning that Paul was there teaching. (see Acts 17:13) Hopefully the spirit of the former rather than the latter will be the spirit of those who participate with this channel.
-) I also encourage everyone to visit another dear friend and Brother's web site. He and I learned the gospel from the same source in the early 1970s. Both of us remain true to that message received. He is Gifted in many ways. His insights are always of value. http://www.EdwardFudge.com
I also urge you to sign up for his gracEmail® it like the gospel is free to all.
While the topic of hell is important, it should not be considered a matter of salvation.
Come let us reason together.
"The message of final punishment is not the gospel. However, it is a shadow message that accompanies the gospel whenever the gospel light is obstructed by sinful unbelief. Hell is the consequence of rejecting God's undeserved mercy in Jesus Christ. It is the alternative to eternal life. Hell is not the most important doctrine of Scripture by any means, but it is certainly not unimportant." (Edward Fudge, The Fire That Consumes 3rd edition pg 377)

-) Through Edward Fudge I have been pleased to meet Mark Lanier. I have grown to appreciate his teaching and include some here as a way of introducing him to you. His Sunday School Class is filled with interesting twists and turns. I do not expect everyone to agree with it all. But I hope you are able to gain something from them as I certainly have.
