It happens, Every time the night comes, Every time the shadows comes.
It happens, Every time the memories comes, Every time the sorrow comes.
And if I only can, Just fall asleep and drift away Against the current of the time.
All along the shadow river, To disappear, and to dissolve.
And it only becomes darker, And the rain is nipping along, Roofs and roads, Fallen-off leaves.
And the faint sound of the gray water floods, Degraded tree silhouettes, Degraded shadows.
And it happens every time you wish, Every time you wish to get back home.
And the only thing I've left with my blessed sorrow, The shadows of the past, My endless damnation, being alone.

Losing The Sun (2010)

Black Autumn is a German Black-Doom Metal act from the foggy banks of Hemer, located at the border to the Sauerland. Founded around 1995 to celebrate Black Metal in the vein of Emperor, Satyricon and Ulver the project started out as a two-member-band. Due to lack of proper equipment first recordings were delayed until 1998 when Michael Krall and TH showed off with their first recordings.
"The Seven Gates Of Illusionary Vision" and "A Distant Light Before Dawn" (that later also appeared on the "Cult Of Nihil" demo and album) clearly showed that Black Autumn were not in for it for fun but had serious intentions in creating something utterly dark. After these first signs of life TH decided to leave the project due to musical differences. Now being solely in the hands of Michael Krall the first self titled demo was released followed later on by "Cult Of Nihil".
After a split CDR with Italian based black metallers "Abyss" the band finally released its debut album called "Ecstasy, Nightmare, Doom" in 2007 on ISO666 Releases from Greece. The album mixes Black Metal with twisted ambient passages and a restless and desolated atmosphere.
The year 2008 was a mark in the history of the project seeing the well received release of "Rivers Of Dead Leaves" including the now classic song "Ophelia". The like named character from Shakespeare's "Hamlet" and the painting by Sir John Everett Millais being the center around which the album and with its doom laiden style of black metal evolved. A year and a half later the new album is finished and waiting for its release. Inspired by the writings of German mystic Jakob Boehme it explores the direction which "Rivers Of Dead Leaves" already hinted to and incorporates countless new elements and influences into the music to create an atmospheric mix of Doom, Black Metal, Post-Rock and ambient Electronica.

From their new EP "Fragments"(2011) Recorded live by We Made God Available for free at www.wemadegod.com
If normal pop music is like watching a sunny day through a passenger window, We Made God's music would be like riding a monster truck through a blizzard. Violent and adrenaline filled, broken up by the occasional calm eye of the storm.
Their debut As We Sleep has been touted as "Referencing the otherworldly ambient atmospherics of Sigur Rós and Deftones' driving, muscular riffs" by Q Magazine who gave them a 4/5 for their "audacious debut". Kerrang magazine was equally thrilled by their debut album, giving them 4 Ks and dubbing it "simultaneously soporific and terrifying" as well as selecting them as one of their Must Hear acts of 2008. We Made God has had a permanent slot on the Kerrang nights at the Iceland Airwaves music festival, always gaining a constant review of 4 Ks for their atmospheric live performance.
Having toured extensively around Iceland since their birth We Made God made their presence known in Great Britain in 2008 with an intense tour from Scotland to London, playing 11 gigs in under two weeks. We Made God are one of those cases where the community played a huge role in the development of their fame. Together with their fans they've carved out a niche for themselves, mixing together the tones of the northern lights with the bludgeoning riffs of a polar ice storm.

Lyrics:
Empty men without regrets Leaning against each others shoulders Open spaces fill the gap Where reason reigned and fell And I see vapour coming out Of every crack in the framework Caught in a vortex between false Perceptions and reality Forever Dead frequencies kill the intellect And truths that only raindrops see Frail bodies out in the periphery Walk like ghosts across the screen It begins again
