Peter Holmes, Flatacre Music Publishing, Inc.
Peter is a music composer, writer and producer. He produces music professionally in the rock, jazz and R&B genres through the Flatacre label. A track of his, 'Maybe Someday,' was used by Saturn cars for the Canadian launch of the ION in a national TV campaign. Another track, 'Two Scoops,' recently supported a highly successful Credit Canada TV campaign. A critic ranked his jazz album, The Jericho Notes, 6th best release (2004) in the U.S. publication Jazz Week Magazine.
Flatacre's purpose is to build client brands as well as promote its own music talent base. Apart from in-house writers, producers and existing content, Flatacre sources talent for cooperative promotion with its clients. The music is made available for exclusive use, all for a fraction of the price of typical original music production and leasing arrangements. The potential is that the music can help make the clients brand famous and through media exposure, the brand makes the music famous. This partnership creates further opportunities such as music videos, entertainment based content, virals and live performance. The clients brand benefits further by engaging with the audience through channels which typically have not been available.
