The left eye (as we look at her face, which would be her RIGHT eye) is not a real eye. It's obvious that it's a glass eye, or some kind of cosmetic contact. Her left eye (the right one as you watch the video) is a real bundle of optic nerves.

I am 50, and while I remember seeing this as a child, it became more important to me when my sons were born in the late 80's and I knew that future Christmas' would include introducing the "new" generation to the timeless Rankin/Bass Christmas specials. Ah, the memories that these shows bring back.

I don't like putting paper labels on CD-R's, because I have had problems with them in car CD players where the disc sticks in the player!! Writing with a Sharpie works, but isn't very professional looking. Your labeling looks much nicer than a Sharpie. How did you create this look?

You have got an awesome voice! Even though the song is pitched too high for you, you still did a terrific job on your recording! This is not an easy song to sing, but you certainly put your heart into it.

When I was a child (of the 60's), I had Burl Ives' "Lollipop Tree" in my collection of LP's. This was the second selection on side 1. I loved all of the songs on this album and believe that I wore the grooves out as I got older!

The video doesn't line up exactly with the words, but that's okay. The words line up perfectly with the music track, and that is really all that matters. This is such a great song, and I'm glad I found your posting.

Never knew that this was released on a 78rpm. I'm not surprised, knowing that it was one of the Chipmunk's most popular recordings. Modern (or vintage modern, lol) turntables never do justice to 78's. They just don't play them as well as the heavy needles that were used in the original players...

@BobDaniel56 I had the privilege of graduating with Eddie. Little did we realize in 1979 what lay instore for this man. He has become a legend in his own time. I'm proud to be part of the class of 1979 from Gaithersburg High School.
