At the tender age of 12 Jody Wildgoose's talent as a musician was first seen in the popular Sheffield band The Various Vegetables, supporting bands like Cornershop, Pulp and Neds Atomic Dustbin. At 13 he got his first recording contract!
The Various Vegetables split when Jody was 16 and his busking days began in Sheffield in earnest, one guide to Sheffield refers to him as a local hero, telling us about the busker who plays in the underpass going towards Arundel Gate.
Jody Wildgoose is a classic songwriter penning such timeless numbers as New Orleans and Misty Morning Sunrise but he also does crazy offbeat stuff like Oh Ted.
Jody Wildgoose has worked with & supported popular artists Reverend & the Makers, Kate Nash, Arctic Monkeys, Martha Wainwright and Baby Bird, to name but a few.
In 2006 he appeared on the Zane Lowe BBC Radio One show, and won the popular competition "Fresh Meat".
