In 2000, The Flaming Lotus Girls began as a group of 6 women who wanted attain the necessary skills and knowledge that would help them participate in the creation of large sculptural installations. Since that time, the FLG has gown into an artist's group of more than 100 members, more than half being women. The group has created major interactive sculptural works, incorporating innovative designs in welded steel, interactive fire effects and responsive electronics.
