The first wave of Nu Metal (1994-1998) was a breath of fresh air and was extremely innovative for its time. However, when bands like Staind, Papa Roach, Disturbed, Crazy Town, etc. came out, the genre would, for the most part, lose its remaining credibility. Furthermore, Limp Bizkit drastically c...

I have to agree with the comment below, Sammy Siegler is one hell of a drummer but, unfortunately, is not in this video. I'm pretty sure he left not long after the recording of "Everything" to join Rival Schools, which is a great band in their own right.

Wow, this actually predates the likes of Saetia and Neil Perry. I'm not sure if Grade released material before New Jersey screamo godfathers, You and I, but there are some similarities between them. You and I were heavier, but I think both bands, as well as Saetia, struck a balance between anger ...

I love how this version is played in the spirit of "Verdi Cries," I've never seen or heard this version of "Wonder," and I actually think I like this better than the original studio recording.

These guys had to have been the most intense screamo band of them all. I remember hearing Orchid and Neil Perry for the first time and thinking that hardcore could not go any further in aggression. However. Usurp Synapse is somehow heavier and faster than the two previously mentioned. I don't lis...

I'm surprised Rob wasn't into Faith No More. It seems like every heavy band from the '90s was influenced by them. I agree with the person that said The More Things Change is a lot better because I think its a stronger album than Burn My Eyes. In addition, Dave McClain's drumming on Things Change...
To me, one of the most underrated hip hop artists of all time. Paris along with Public Enemy, Scarface, Spice 1, A Tribe Called Quest, and so many other greats, is why today's rap music can never touch the old school. I haven't bought a hip hop album since Nas' "Stillmatic," and, to be honest, I ...
