La música se puede hacer de dos formas: siendo fiel a un estilo, o siendo fiel a lo que surge de uno mismo. Esto último es lo que hace Fix THis, formación afincada en la cuidad de Madrid, que echó a andar allá por el verano de 2008. A través de sus manos se moldea una música que puede comenzar siendo swing de hace un siglo y terminar sonando a acid jazz de club de los noventa. Nada es previsible en este sexteto. Cualquier cosa puede ser procesada por sus manos y por sus cuerdas vocales. Su música es una auténtica miscelánea de estilos e idiomas que siempre tienen como referencia el clasicismo afro-americano, pero sin quedarse ahí, intentando aportar una nueva manera de ver y oír la música popular del siglo XX, sin limitaciones en la creación de atmósferas y espacios sonoros, añejos y nuevos, y todo lo que hay entremedias.

La banda editó un primer EP en 2009, comenzando una trayectoria que se ve en parte completada con la edición de su inminente primer LP, "Blim Blam", donde se resume su concepto musical con once temas que parecen hacer parada en estaciones musicales de medio mundo.

English version:

Music can be done in 2 ways: being faithful to one style, or being faithful to a personal need. Precisely this second way is how Fix This composes its music. Fix This is a group of musicians settled in Madrid, that began to play in the summer of 2008. With their hands, they shape a music that can first sound like Swing music from last century but then turns into acid jazz from the nineties. Nothing is predictable in this sextet. Everything can be processed by their hands and by their vocal chords. Their music is an authentic miscellany of styles and languages with a continuous reference to Afro-American classicism, without keeping stuck at it, though.
They try to contribute to the popular music of the XX Century with a new way of understanding and listening. There are no limits for them in creating atmospheres and soundscapes, whether they are old or new, so as everything in between...
