In older Videos I don't use amp cuz my effects pedal (BOSS GT-10) has very decent amp simulations, and it allows me to record directly to the computer with no need to use a real amp.

WHAT SOFTWARE/CAM DO YOU USE?

- Ableton Live 7.0.3
- Sony Vegas Pro 9.0
- Cam: 4x Kodak EasyShare V1233

HOW DO YOU RECORD YOUR VIDEOS?

I'll explain it by steps with Koch Twintone II:
1. I connect my guitar to the Koch Amp.
2. I connect the Recording Output of the Koch Twintone to the computer (USB port) via Audio Interface Alesis io2
3. I open Ableton Live on my computer, it will record my playing only.
4. I put the camera in place ready to record my video.
5. I get in place, and start recording with both: the camera (video) and the computer (audio).
6. When I finish, I will get my Video in a .mov file from my camera and my Audio in a .wav file from Ableton Live.
7. Then I`m ready for the editing process. I gotta synch my playing and the backing track, I do this using Ableton. Here, I get the Final Audio for my video.
8. I use Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 to synch my Video and the Final Audio.
