i can say this, The FT 450 is one of yaesus Finer radios, They really made a great receiver, the dsp is increadable, and cant be beat, even on a yaesu ft 200,

The 450s recieve, countour, and noise reduction is way better..

if you ever used ham radio deluxe, theres a defualy setting thats confusing your radio,

in fact if its hooked up while making this video, you must use the controls on hrd via the mouse or the setting will not take place. even if you hold function button in

there was 2 differant issues of the 857, the original had 2sc3102 finals in ithem. yaesu had issues with this mitzubishi final, so they redesigned the board and used another better final, if your drawing amps on recieve more than4 amps on rx, and it gets warm, you popped a final, the transistor ...

The 857 is bad, its the worst radio yaesu ever made. the 450 is far more better

The YAESU FT 857 is an abortion, dont buy it youll hate it, it has rf issues
