Established in 2001, Fishing with Rod is a popular online angling publication in British Columbia, Canada. Our website offers a variety of resource that caters anglers of all ages and skill levels. These features include weekly fishing reports from across British Columbia, how-to articles, fishing stories, trout stocking database, regulation updates, photography and of course, video clips!
Our YouTube channel offers several different types of video. Video blog entries take you along with us to our fishing trips in both Western Canada and overseas. We also make an effort to bring you documentary style video features that take an in-depth look at fishery projects and conservation efforts in British Columbia. At times we also broadcast instructional content such as fish identification and basic fishing techniques.
Our goal is to share our passion in recreational fishing, promote educated angling and inspire others to appreciate our precious natural resource. If you enjoy our video, please make sure you vote, leave a comment in our video clips and of course, subscribe to this channel!
Sponsorship, advertising and general business enquiries can be sent to info@fishingwithrod.com.

Since 2011, we have also been producing a series called "Lystfiskerinden", hosted by Nina. All episodes will be in Danish, but subtitles are available by clicking on the "CC" button. For Danish speakers, you can also read more about this video on this website.
Here are a couple of notes that you should know when commenting in our videos.
- Please don't ask us to sub for sub! We only use this channel for broadcasting. Both Nina and I have our own personal accounts that are used to subscribe to channels that we like. If you like our videos, please subscribe, but don't subscribe if you are looking for something other than regular video content from us.
- Please don't ask us where we are fishing in the video. The information on fishing spot found in the video description is as much as we will give. While we are happy to answer any question on fishing techniques etc, we will not create an instant increase in fishing pressure at a specific spot by disclosing where we were.
