Adoption Advocacy and Women in the Ministry
About Me:
 
Fisherdawn is the founder of two companion ministries. Fishers of Women seeks to encourage women of Faith to use their gifts for the glory of God without fear. FOW believes cultural traditions should not prevent women from serving in all roles inside and outside of the Church.

Healing Hannah is a ministry to orphans in China, Ethiopia and Guatemala. HH seeks to provide adoptive parents with education about emotional and psychological issues post-institutional children face, provide medical help to special needs orphans, and form mission teams to work in impoverished nations where children are in need.

AMEN GREG SHUTTLEWORTH! Seriously fisherdawn 1) The fact of the matter is your issue is not with me, or any man..but God and His Word. 2) Your worth is unexplainably HUGE. You are very important and valuable to God, and no amount of leadership will change that. God made roles not to oppress, but to show the beauty of His creation and a glimpse of love in community. Your fight just doesn't make sense :(

I think you may have missed Mark Driscoll's point. He never mentioned anything about women not being able to do anything in the church. He was talking about men. "Macho Man" He said the thing wrong with the church is that men aren't being real men.
The church must work as a family works. All parts must be there or something is missing.
I am not arguing in any way on where a woman's place should be in the church. I agree with Driscoll, that men are not taking a firm place in the church...anywhere.

You really have an axe to grind with men don't you. I would suggest you raise your children and HELP your husband keep an orderly household. 1 Timothy is 1 Timothy and you cannot change that. I do feel sorry that someone has implanted in your head that leadership is something to be coveted. It should not be sought after due to a position of authority as this secular society would have you believe. But respected due to the huge sacrifice it requires. This shows you how much this fallen world has infliltrated the Christian church.
 The following video is why men need to be leaders of the church. There are not many like this man.

So in one of your videos, I saw a picture of my little brother who is being adopted in just a few weeks! I just got back from PHF and working with Bring Me Hope. I saw a few pictures from BMH and David Bolt... what a small world! Were you at camp last year or this summer? Your videos are so encouraging. Its awesome to see people who have such a heart for orphans.
