I like your description of Koontz writing in comparison to King's writing. It is those feel good moments of hope and higher order in the midst of darkness that really draw me to his books.

I think this is the ultimate reality show playing on the fears of people. One of the things that I had learned in college is that it is easy to skew data to fit a theory.
