Once upon a time, there was a little girl who loved horses and had a passion for ice cream. She hated puff-sleeved dresses and she wished she had long hair. She lived in a charming red-brick house high on a hill, surrounded by trees as old and tall as time and an endless field of perfect emerald grass. One the eve of the month of August, the little girl recieved a magazine in the mail. Her eyes wide with wonder, she opened one glossy page and stared at the photographs of the thing known as an American Girl Doll, and, at that moment, she somehow knew her life would never be the same again.
She fell in love with the doll known as Josefina, and for weeks, she dreamed. Visions of the doll danced and twirled in her head, swirling and molding and sparkling. She wanted that doll more than anything she had ever wanted in her life. And then, on the day of her seventh birthday, she tore off the paper of the very first and biggest present and was ecstatic to find....
A pizza.
BUT NO!!! It was not a pizza... It was Josefina!
Together, she and the doll danced and played and laughed. They enjoyed teatime and teddy bears, chocolate and birthday parties, as they would forevermore, dwelling safely in the warmth of eachother's hearts for as long as they both would live.
