Our 737's love this airport, nice long runway for a nice long takeoff roll.

DTW will commonly send wide-body aircraft to runway 3L if they want a priority taxi before they are pushed back. As far as repainting the 717's, to my knowledge that will not be happening until 2017 or 18 if Southwest decides to keep them in service. Right now though...

Those lucky bastards. In my 737 we dont get T.V. so we just take short naps and such.....

@niteterror2k7 It just means to reduce your sink rate velocity. Basically it's telling you to flare and compensate for ground effect.

@av8or757 Being a pilot usually is not too stressful. I went to my cousins High School for a presentation and a kid asked why I love being a pilot, and I said "because flying those things is fun as SHIT!" Now president.....that's a hell of a job.....

@rokenbok45 No worries mate, All of Airtrans' 737's will be in Southwest colors soon. I have no problem with it, I'll be getting more pay and 4 more days a month. It will be sad to say goodbye to Airtran though.

@Tennisboy09va I'd imagine cargo pilots hate it! But for low senority pilots it does'nt affect us. I only get 4 days a month usually anyways unless some pilot ditches out.

@pklordz I'll be getting my rating for the 717 soon! And our 737's AirCell is great for when we get board in the cockpit and wana go on Facebook ;)
