@Cluttzzz You're comparing very different genres of metal. These guys aren't trying to create pretty melodies. I like melodeath too, but there's a primal nature and brutality expressed in this. And it's not talentless. Pick up a guitar for the first time and play this solo.

I don't hear AAL at all. Both are very creative, instrumental bands, but they both have distinct sounds.

I think this is actually better than most black metal both with music and video. The vocals are the only thing that suck. This is pretty funny, which seems like the intention, unlike most black metal videos, which I still find funny.

@shadowsburnme Wrong. Listen to Iced Earth who often have clean vocals. They are as metal as you can get. Pain and angst are expressed in the blues and other genres as well, and they hardly ever "growl". Metal is not defined by growling or screaming. Are you saying bands like Motley Crue are not...

You can compare a whatever you want but it's like comparing a boy band to metallica or something. COB is legend, BFMV isn't terrible, but they're mainstream sellouts that aren't bringing anything new to the table. So pretty gay comparison.
