It might just be me, but it kinda sounds like the starter gear is stuck out or something... Is it just the camera mic? Also, you said you had to pull & reinstall the plenum 4 times to get it right, any tips for getting it back in & lined up with no leaks? Just gotta V65, bout to do the carb clean...
