Fictional Substance is the solo effort of Jason Bolinger, an American artist and songwriter. Born in Maryland and raised in Western Pennsylvania, Jason is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he studied music theory and composition as a classical guitarist.
Signs of Life is his first public release. Jason's music is difficult to place in any one genre as his songs are more of an ambient pop/rock/jazz/electronic blend. Writing and recording music has always been a passion of his, but unfortunately, it doesn't pay the bills. He currently produces television commercials for a local station where he can be visually creative.
