How not to land a glider
This glider should have been landing into wind as indicated by the windsock in the foreground. (like birds do)

80 meter and cable rupture = land straight ahead. What was he thinking turning around??? Too lazy pushing his plane back or so? 100% pilot error.

Cool video!
Just built the electric version (don't have slopes in NL) and wondering about CG. Could you tell me how far off the leading edge worked well for you?
Thanks!

I think you're better off setting the flaps 4-8 degrees negative to lower the stall speed and lower the plane's velocity that way.

Sounds like US scare the people propaganda.
Yes, LiPo's are dangerous for people who don't know what they're doing. So is a kitchen knife. Fact of the matter is, that LiPo's that are treated properly are an excellent battery technology. So get a proper charger, treat the batteries as they need t...

Awesome video. Have just built one myself, and am waiting anxiously to get it out. Will be flying it powered because I'm in flat Holland. Will see how it reacts to thermals this summer.

Sad pilot. He can blame the plane and take his frustration out on it, but it is just a blatant case of bad flying. Very sloppy approach and landing.

Have a similar issue with mine at the moment. Replaced rotor head, blade grips and main shaft and still rocking rotorhead. I suspect it's not in the head, but in the bearings.
Note that on the video, you also see the swash plate rock, which means that the shaft is off center that far down alread...

Not at the moment. Used to have RC gliders in the past, with a rubber launcher. Only e-powered glider I had was a Graupner Ultrafly with 10S NiCD and a big Mabuchi in the nose. :-)
At the moment I'm very engaged with RC racing, and have some heli's.
... But RC gliders are itch...
Lucky you didn't stall it on the line with the subsequent nosedive while the bungee is still pulling. You need to launch horizontal with more speed. Looks like the man throwing the plane pulls the tail down causing this ridiculous angle.
