The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC was created in 2003 by the province as a private, non-profit organization with a mandate to conserve and enhance freshwater fish resources in BC for the benefit of the public.
The purposes of the FFSBC are to provide fish culture and stocking services that support freshwater recreational fishing and the conservation and restoration of wild freshwater fish; to promote and market recreational fishing; and to inform and educate the public about fish, conservation and fishing. The Society works closely with the Ministry of Environment and other public and private sector partners in the delivery of our programs and services.
Our YouTube channel is designed to assist residents and visitors of British Columbia who are interested in freshwater fishing in this province. Both video clips of basic fishing instructions and behind-the-scene hatchery work are available.
