To name a few...Roxy Music & Bryan Ferry (one of my heroes), Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Radiohead, The Killers, RJD2, Aim, DJ Shadow, Four tet, Boards of Canada, Gorillaz, Massive attack, Bonobo, Phoenix, David Bowie, Pink Floyd and David Gilmour, Aphex Twin, Submotion Orchestra, some jazz especially fusion like Miles Davis and Pat Metheny, Lou Reed, some 80s bands including Police, Jose Gonzalez, Enanitos Verdes, Flaming lips, Shakira, Spanish guitar/flamenco, film composers like Hanz Zimmer, Eric Serra, Angelo Badalamenti (David Lynch), Yann Tiersen, Roy Orbison, 60s Motown and soul.

Latin literature and magic realism like Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Isabel Allende. Joseph Conrad, 19th Century literature, Ian Mcewan, Kazuo Ishiguro, Dan Brown. Harry Potter, Brideshead revisited, Luigi Pirandello, etc etc
