About Me:

why do people assume that everything goes as planned and i have control over everything? if I had control over everything, I wouldn't be here asking "why do people assume that everything goes as planned and i have control over everything?"

to kyanlovesmax,

Alright, I'll ducking tell you why I released this album. Because I was under a contract, and I was under a contract because I was disillusioned into thinking that this contract would net me the opportunity to make the music that I'd actually want to make. Now, one who still lives in his mother's basement will so incline to think that the world is black and white, but more often than not, that isn't the case. I do work with other human beings and people that I care about, including my old man, so it's hard to just say "No, no, no" to things that I disagree with, because they, too, have to deal with other people in the end. However, all of this does not limit me from giving my opinion of it when asked, or when bothered with.

This page is a festouverture page, not a Joanna Wang page, which I think I've made very clearly. This page was made waaaay before the debut. And I had no intention of letting those two cross. But alas, the album comments have gotten too much and I thought it was best to just shut it down. I only kept my youtube going for the people that stuck around for music.

And why don't you give a single example of when I "swore at fans who liked 'Start From Here'" as the article so stated?

I have never, ever directed so quoted "Fxxking" or "Fxxk you" on anyone who has ever even complimented "Start From Here."

And in fact, thank you for posting this article, because I thought it was rather well written. Though some things that the reporter read on my youtube must've been lost in translation, and dramatized I'm sure for the effect of an article, after all, under today's "entertainment section," somethings were factual, and I liked that. Like when she quoted the "how I'm responsible for the words that come out of my mouth, therefore I don't lie" bit. However, I am not responsible for the words that didn't come out of my mouth.

So there ya go, since you asked "can you ducking tell me why??I wondering???????"

Sincerely not anyone's,

festouverture.

my dream is to one day front a yoeko kurahashi tribute band. or an oingo boingo tribute band.

oh.. and i don't take requests.

Where are your videos? I came to get my "festouverture does Peg" fix and... nothing. :( So Sad.

Rebellious sounds cool but underlying is the spirit of bitterness and maybe it's not so beneficial afterall. In parallel, anger eats into our bones if not dealt with properly. They are a pair that sure hit us somehow at some stage in our life and I think if we have control over them, it's ok...on the contrary, hmm......hahaha

I swear I will never quit on God, our friendship and my music ever again...Thank you for your music as that awakens something inside of me which has long lost. I'm Nance, how do you do, Joanna?

Whenever I see the title Caketown, I thought of the song "Soul cake" by Sting. Best Sting performance

My favourite classical pianists are Martha Argerich and Helene Grimaud, what about u?

I've asked u what guitar model u're using. Not sure if range is more limited for leftie or not. I've got myself a Godin A&L line - Ami Nylon Cedar recently and is adoring the purity of its tonal sound qualities as it's 95% made of canadian wild cherry and Silver Maple Leaf wood at a very reasonable price. I'm so pleased with my choice. My favourite is still Martin becoz of its simplicity and tonal qualities and I hope one day I can afford flying to Bergen and get one built by Hanho Kiehl. That would be a dream come true. I can also take the chance to see the Northern Lights....Nance

i think gorge morel and u have a similar guitar playing style....full of transition of chords in a flowing manner.

ps helene is one of the most expressive pianoist/nusician i ever heard...u can shred a tear or 2

have u read a book titled Variations Sauvages by Helene Grimaud, it's fascinating and I think a lot of people found at least a part of themselves in Helene's biography. -Nan-

I can finally find a way to describe your songwriting, you are like a Quentin Tarantino in music whose works are both morbid and quirky but creative, and maybe with a sole purpose to entertain and satisfy oneself only.

Also come to realise that maybe my talk is free but not necessary cheap. Guess need to work on walking the talk so it's not an empty talk. Tks to the whack and it gets me thinking. Word became flesh and can shape reality, so we must mean what we say.

I understand music and creativity a bit better via watching August Rush, another documentary by scott hicks on philip glass and Sketches of Frank Gehry by sydney pollack. On top of it, I understand a talented artist or musician better and can appreciate your music from a fresh angle. My journey of music has just began...wonder what yours are like now, not only on the subject of music but your life. Have u found your dream or are u still dreaming
