a screen based work which is about rainy weather. An everyday item, a dustbin lid/bird bath becomes a musical instrument as the heavy rain falls upon it. The work is the interaction of choreographed movement of rain in a back garden and a mallard swimming on a pond elsewhere. Two events in real-time are brought together like the workings of the imagination.

a screen based work about plants in the garden, close up and at half speed. Technology is used to slow things down, making the familiar everyday sights and sounds seem very strange. A much slowed down bee is added to the end of the piece. Maybe just out of hibernation and looking for food or a sign of the well documented demise of the bee population.

Written by Roy Barker - Born in 1926, in Doncaster, UK. Roy left school at the age of thirteen and was apprenticed as a sign writer, painting posters by hand for cinemas. When he was seventeen, after a spell in the home guards, he left his job and enlisted in the army. Roy spent two years travelling in India with the Duke of Wellington Regiment during the Indian independence troubles, which were the inspiration for some of his writings. On his return to England, Roy worked at Brodsworth Colliery and then later for British Rail Engineering, Doncaster. He started his writing career in 2000 at the age of seventy four and has since written more than one hundred poems, a one act play and several short stories.
