The chance of a horse being born with a perfect heart marking on its head is extremely low. This is the story of our very special filly. Howard Nelson bred Thoroughbred racehorses for over 20 years. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in 2008. After a long fight to be with his family and friends as long as he could be, he passed away on April 8, 2011. This filly was the last of his Thoroughbred horses to be born; the only one after his passing. We could not help but feel this foal's marking was Howard's way of sending his love to comfort us at our greatest time of grief. As he used to say to me, "I love you with all my heart."
Foal is one day old in this video. She is by Steven Got Even out of Forever Shocking..... More videos to follow.
