@DocKro23 because the area of rochester they were filming at (Lake Ave) has a disproportionate number of black customers in that area of town, and that is truly a slice of life in the city. That is exactly what you see on a daily basis and perfectly captures the urban setting of the City of Roche...

@sw1zzie sorry to disagree but he and hawkgirl were cast for female and black demographics, as a kids show aimed at all kids of all genders and ethnic backgrounds. kinda like making black vulcan and the other 3 for diversity back on superfriends. hawkgirl would have been aquaman to be honest.
