You can enter the code from ME2 manually. I found that out too late, as I re-constructed my Shep from scratch on ME2(PAIN IN THE ASS). I saved the resulting code, and used it for ME3. It's almost identical(FINALLY). Either way, Shep's gained about 15-20 pounds in ME3.
