You're right. They are quite misunderstood indeed...

The example you gave is right.That's just like coral snake and rattlesnake/lancehead.One shows lower value in LD50 whereas the other one is more aggressive if provoked and have far more venom dose.

Wow!look at the size of that fangs.I can't imagine how is the feeling when it bites my arm.Many people underestimate their abilities because of their lazy or reluctant movement but i disagree as they can cause a very serious bite.

Yes,sub-adult or adult king cobras should be handled by experienced people.They are not a joke and can be highly aggressive if provoked.Bites are also very dangerous.
