About Life Beyond Disorder
Hi my name is Ally and i am currently working towards my recovery from binge eating disorder. Ever since i can remember i suffered from a very poor body image, however it was not until i was 16 after encountering sexual assault and severe bullying that i developed mild anorexia. At my lowest weight i was 47kg (103 pounds) and 175cm (5.7ft). About a year following my recovery from anorexia i developed binge eating disorder and have since gained over 15kg (about 40 pounds). Oh my! i have been suffering from binge eating disorder for 18 months now and i am using this blog as a tool of recovery for myself and others.
